Scripture tells us that the prerequisite for receiving salvation, miracles or promises from God is Faith, and that Faith arises from exposure to God’s Word.
Everyone needs all those things.
Yet surveys tell us that most people don’t read God’s Word, the Bible, or go to church – the two principle sources of God’s Word.
So everyone needs exposure to God’s Word so that God can inspire Faith in their hearts, so that they can be recipients of blessings. He wants to bless them but doesn’t impose Himself on others. He prefers that people seek Him.
But how are they supposed to get it? What would inspire them to seek Him?
The Rou†ing briefly chronicles the efforts of a small, unincorporated group of believers, who made an effort to present the Word of God to those in their workplace, in a way that wouldn’t impose on them. They began publishing a weekly micro-sermon, complete with scripture references, and distributing them in their workplace.
They were posted on bulletin boards and placed on break room tables for anyone to read during idle times. It worked well enough that other believers began circulating them in other workplaces as well.
It’s a concept the group called “workplace” or “bulletin board evangelism.”
The brunt of the book contains the messages that were presented over a period of 3 years. There are more available on this site. They’ve been called “blue-collar devotionals” and “modern-day parables.”
Since the book is in Ebook format, the effort can be duplicated by anyone who wishes to copy the text, print them out and post them at their workplace, waiting room, coffee counter, or anyplace people tend to have time on their hands where God might have an opportunity to speak to them in His still, small voice.
